Continuing their “Get to Know the Devs” series, IGP has posted their article introducing us to 3D Artist Jose David Larrea.
I like the take on the burgeoning gaming industry down in Ecuador:
How do you feel about your role in the Ecuadorian gaming industry?
I guess its really cool to be a pioneer in the industry here in Ecuador, it gives you a sense of pride of doing something not many do yet, but at the same time it makes you think of the responsibility, not only representing the place where you were born but also the fact that you are setting a line, giving an example for the future developers; which is a really good incentive to be even better and work harder
Looks like Jose likes a good old fashioned LAN party too:
Describe your ideal video game environment to have drinks with friends.
I really enjoy LAN Parties. Its the best place to compete, yell, swear and kick some butt. Â I do it at least one every 3 months or so with my friends, we get together, order some food, have some drinks and play until the sun rises. Its just an awesome experience.
Jose would fit right in with the next Extra-Life marathon (actually, a LAN party for Extra-Life sounds like it’d be a blast!).
The impression I get from all the BLG introductions they’ve done, is that they’ve all got a decent amount of experience in their field (like Jose’s 4 years in the industry as an artist), and they all seem super excited about being in on the ground floor of Ecuador’s gaming industry. Â That energy and enthusiasm should mean good things for MechWarrior Tactics!
Though, it does sound like Jose would prefer an iPhone over his current phone:
What type of cell phone do you use(are you an Android or Apple fan)?
I have an Xperia Play, from Sony, which has Android of course. I cannot say I am a fan of Android nor do I have any bad commentaries about it, the more important thing is that I can play with my phone, doesn’t matter what platform it have.
Though, to be fair, I assume everyone would assume an iPhone. Â I’m looking forward to the next in the series, hopefully we’ll get some sneak peeks of what the team is working on.
