Lifetime Insurance (LTI) is a perk that was originally offered via Star Citizen’s Kickstarter, due to some confusion, it was extended to another group of backers (so, Original, and Veteran backers)… Â it’s going away, for everyone, as of the 26th of November.. leading up to it.. Â CIG is having another sale, offering limited sale ships, complete with LTI, for everyone.
The sale isn’t just to acknowledge LTI’s offering going away…it also marks the 1 year point since the original Kickstarter campaign came to a close. Â We’re getting a weeklong sale (new ship every day, except for on the weekend), and a live stream on the 26th, where we’ll also get our first crack at purchasing the Banu Merchantman, and presumably, the Xi’an Scout ships that were recently unlocked by virtue of stretch goals.
Here’s the list of what ships will be for sale, on which days:
- Monday, November 18 – ORIGIN M50
- Tuesday, November 19 – ORIGIN 350R, & Lightspeed Package
- Wednesday, November 20 – Drake Caterpillar
- Thursday, November 21 – RSI Aurora LX
- Friday, November 22 – Anvil Gladiator, Aegis Retaliator, & Super Hornet (running through the weekend)
- Monday, November 25 – MISC Starfarer
If you’re a Veteran, or Original backer, these ships will be available at the same price points they’ve been for sale at every other time it’s been up. Â If you’re a ‘new’ backer, they’ll be a little more expensive than they were before, as they’re now coming with LTI for everyone!
The Lightspeed package is tempting, but I’m holding out for the Merchantman’s sale on the 26th, hopefully it won’t be too pricey.
This sale is sure to kick us over the $28 Million mark, in fact, I’d be surprised if we don’t cross $28 Million on day two of the sale. Â Heck we may hit $29 Million by the end of the sale!
