Apparently, the Star Citizen community is trying to see just how fast they can throw money at CIG. Â A day after crossing over the $29 Million mark….. they’ve pushed the total over $30 Million.. that puts us at roughly $3 million raised this week alone! Â That’s kinda crazy.
The $30 Million announcement came with a whole bunch of art of the Bombers (since, the current focus of the sale is the Bombers, and they’ve helped push the funding over two milestones).  In particular, it’s some shots showing some of the customization you’ll be able to do, with the turret on the Bombers:

$30 Million unlocked the new Origin 890 JUMP as well:
- Origin 890 JUMP – The rumors are true: Origin Jumpworks has a larger ship in the works! The Origin 890 JUMP is an interstellar super-yacht with exquisite styling and an array of high quality upgrade options. Travel the stars in style with multiple decks, high visibility windows and a small boat bay. Whether you’re outfitting it to explore new worlds or to take a pleasure cruise through Terra, the 890JUMP is the epitome of luxury, class and refinement!
Just like the $31 Million goal, the $32 Million goal was decided by voting… the winner of the poll for the $32 Million stretch goal (can they really still be called stretch goals at this point?)… is:
- Aegis Surveyor – The Surveyor, from noted military contractor Aegis, is an industrial-quality salvage ship. Equipped with a reinforced cargo bay, a long-range jump drive and launch pods for unmanned drones, the Surveyor is an ideal ship for taking advantage of deep space wrecks. Tractor beams, floodlights, scanner options and docking ports round out the tool chest on this capable, utilitarian spacecraft.
Voting is now open for the $33 Million goal…and if we hit this next million, as fast as the last one went.. you’ve got about a day to vote… so, go click that ‘Smuggling’ button! Â :P
After the Anniversary sale is over, I’m hoping CIG will release some stats on the backers.. I’d love to see the difference between average amount backed, average number of ships in hangars, average time to hit each million mark, etc..etc.. from a “pre-sale”, and “post-sale” perspective.. Â Either we’re picking up a lot of new backers… or some of the current backers have very deep pockets.
