In a Skyrim busting update today…we got all kinds of good stuff!
A new Beta weekend started (Invites started going out Weds, I believe).
EU invites (general testing, not weekend) went out.. for the EU servers!
We got a blurb about TOR making it’s appearance at DreamHack:
Held each year at the Elmia Fair in Jönköping, Sweden, DreamHack is far and away the largest “LAN party” in the world. BioWare and LucasArts will be attending the event this year to give people the chance to play Star Warsâ„¢: The Old Republicâ„¢ before its worldwide launch on December 20th.
The DreamHack event begins at 8:00AM CET on Thursday, November 24th and runs, non-stop, until 8:00AM CET on Sunday, November 27th. Members of BioWare’s European Community Team will be on hand throughout the weekend.
The *BIG* news is regarding the next, and most likely final Beta weekend..
If you have registered on the site as of yesterday (11/10/11)… you will be invited to the next beta weekend! So while it’s not quite an open beta..it’s pretty damn close. A generic confirmation email also started going out today:
There will also be Beta key giveaways on sites like IGN, if you were not registered for Beta on the official site already. Here’s the official announcement. The announcement lists all the sites that will be giving away beta keys as well.
I’m guessing that is also the weekend the NDA will be lifted (It’s just a guess.. but if you invite over a million people to the same weekend.. it’s gonna be real hard to keep them all observing the NDA).
