Yesterday, the MechWarrior Online team revealed another map! Â This one is called “River City”. Â The reveal comes to us via GameTrailers:
I like that we get a little bit of background on the City of Jaro, as part of this.. nice little touch to make the universe seem more real.
This map seems pretty big, with the video making mention of ‘kilometers’ of sniping lanes between buildings, so that’ll be nice… hopefully make matches fought on this mix of urban and water terrain last a little longer.
The detail in River City looks pretty impressive.. you do see wrecked cars, the buildings have a nice detail to them, RC looks like it might have been a nice place to live… until all the ‘Mechs started raining down on it. Â From watching the video, the only real complaint I have about it… is that it is so very, very yellow tinted. Â Can’t wait to get a chance to play on this at release!
